DRINKING WATER FROM A DRY WELL

A Psalm by Evangelist Sonya Kates, USA

Copyright 2010, 2012, 2014, 2020

There is no love in this place

rooms full of void and confusion

harden hearts in authority

justify how they would rather stay bonded

than be set free!

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! my soul not satisfied

there's no water here

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! I hunger for your word

It's not wanted here

How long oh, Lord

will this pain go on?

What is right, now seems wrong

so much pride, full of lies

Your love is denied

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! my soul is not satisfied

there's no water here

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! I hunger for your word

I can't find it here

They know not charity or compassion

mercy for the lost soul

your sweet precious word

holds the key

to life eternally

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! my souls not satisfied

there's no water here

Drinking water from a dry well

Oh! I hunger for your word

I can't find it here
